Pride and Joy, written for Sam Brown. I love Pete Brown's dry production on this. Paul Bangash on guitar . I did the piano and bass.
Two from the album 'Back to the Centre' by Paul Brady which I produced. First up 'Deep in your Heart (Eric Clapton great on lead guitar) with Ole Romo drums, Mitt Gamon harp, I played bass. The record did well in Ireland and was voted album of the year in the Hot Press awards. But best of all we had a great time making it! The second track here, 'The Island', became an anthem for everyone who was working for peace in the island of Ireland, and is still very much loved today. Kenny Craddock's lonesome yet comforting solo piano is a thing of beauty. Miss you Kenny. The acoustic guitar solo is Phil Palmer. Recorded at studio 2 Utopia, Chalk Farm. Loved that place.
'Don't Cry' , a single, and a track on the album 'Hi Hat', co written with Boy George and Bobby Z who produced. I played bass, keys, percussion and arranged. Glen Nightingale on groovy guitar. George sounding very Orbison-esque.

'A Poor Life' co written with Mitt Gamon. Words by W .H Davies and Ian Dury and sung/spoken by Ian. Mitt on guitar and harmonica, Annie Whitehead trombone, me on drums, bass, keyboards and production. Recorded at The Wipsy House, London E15. We made this little video up at the Depot in Kings Cross, before it was demolished to make way for a shopping centre. That's Steve Monti (Blockheads) at the drums in the video and Carol Isaacs at the keyboard, now with Indigo Girls.
A track from the debut album by Lund, produced and mixed by me (2014) . An interesting challenge for a producer who is also a bass player, a band with no bass! Just drums, guitar and vocal, recorded live in my studio in East Kent. A few guitar loops, but no overdubs as such.
This is 'Billy's Vision Quest'. Enjoy.

'Impossible Amant' , co written with Murray Head. I did all the instruments, production and recording . Jo Fletcher on nice moody French backing vocals. Translation by Caroline Cochaux. Another Wipsy House recording through my old 32 into 24 Airedale desk, 'the Crackling Monster' onto 16 track 2" Studer. Very warm.
'India Song' by Murray Head , arranged, produced and played this at the Wipsy House . Trombone by Annie Whitehead.
